Wondering what to do with the left over dosa batter?
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Soaking time: 4 hours
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1. Green chilli: 2 (finely chopped)
2. Coconut: 1/4 cup (chopped)
3. Ginger: 1 piece (grated)
4. Peppercorns: 7 – 8
5. Curry leaves: 8 – 10 leaves
6. Coriander leaves: for garnishing
7. Salt: as per taste
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped green chilli and coconut, grated ginger, peppercorns, curry leaves and a handful of coriander leaves to your dosa batter.
2. Mix well and keep it for 10-15 minutes.
3. In a panniyaram pan, once it gets hot, add a few drops of oil / ghee.
4. Using a laddle, pour the batter into the pan such that it covers 3/4th of each hole.
5. Cook both sides well and then serve it piping hot with tomato chutney or coconut chutney.
